Miranda Mungai is an events producer, film curator and facilitator, taking particular interest in participatory methodologies and non-normative spaces for engaging with cinema, specialising in documentary and short form artists’ moving image. She worked as Documentary Programmer at the London Short Film Festival (2018 - 2022), where she was also Industry Events Co-Producer (2018 - 2021). Since then, she has worked as Festival Assistant at Open City Documentary Festival (2019), Talks Programme Assistant at Sheffield Documentary Festival (2021), Screening Days Advisory Group Member at the Independent Cinema Office (2023) and Communications Manager at Berwick Film & Media Arts Festival (2023 - 2026). She was selected for the King’s College London Undergraduate Research Fellowship in 2017 and as Curatorial Fellow at the 68th Flaherty Film Seminar in 2023.

- The relationship between national imaginaries, state and capital.
- Networked communication infrastructure and digital agency.
- Organising, social media and expressions of dissent.
- Gentrification and regeneration.
